Why do you need the Same Product Upsell?

Your upsell strategy might benefit from using a "Same Product Upsell" in a few key scenarios:

  • Encouraging Larger Volume Purchases: If you'd like to let customers enjoy a higher volume of the product they've just bought, this type of upsell can be ideal.

  • “Buy One, Get One at a Discount” Campaigns: To promote additional purchases, you could offer the same product at a discount. This incentivizes customers to add another item to their cart at an attractive price.

Setting up this kind of offer is simple! Click on "Create Upsell" on your Dashboard to begin configuring the details.

In the setup, choose "Same Product Upsell" to automatically suggest the same products already in the customer’s cart.

If you want to make the offer more enticing, select "Apply Discount" for the second item, allowing you to offer it at a reduced price.

Additionally, you can customize targeting options within the "Displays for" section to limit the upsell to specific products or collections, based on what’s been purchased.

For stores selling items like clothing or products with different variants, you can enable the “Match Parent Product’s Variant” feature. This ensures that only the exact variant the customer bought will be offered as an upsell, rather than all available variants.

Once you've configured everything, click "Save," and the offer will automatically go live in your store.
